Launchpad is a Chrome extension that replaces your new tab page with a minimal, customizable start page featuring a clock, date, search, and quick links. Your privacy is important — Launchpad does not collect, transmit, or share any personal data.
Data Collection
Launchpad does not collect any personal information. No data is sent to any server, third party, or external service. The extension operates entirely offline.
Local Storage
Launchpad stores your preferences locally in your browser using localStorage. This data never leaves your device. Stored preferences include:
- Display settings (clock, date, search, links visibility)
- Theme selection
- Clock customization (font, size, weight, color)
You can clear this data at any time by removing the extension or clearing your browser's local storage.
Third-Party Services
Launchpad loads fonts from Google Fonts (fonts.googleapis.com) to render the clock display. Google's privacy policy applies to that request. No other third-party services are used.
When you use the search feature, your query is sent to Google Search as a standard web navigation. This is identical to typing in the browser's address bar.
Permissions
Launchpad only requires the permission to override the new tab page. No additional browser permissions are requested.
Analytics & Tracking
Launchpad does not use any analytics, tracking, cookies, or telemetry of any kind.
